What is DRTV?

Media PlanningDRTV is a term which is used to describe television advertising which has an immediate call to action, intended to persuade viewers to purchase something immediately.

This means that DRTV campaigns are most suited to companies who want to sell something over the telephone or internet.

Typically DRTV campaigns will run during the daytime, and sometimes after 11pm at night. These are the cheapest times of the day to advertise, and as such businesses have less exposure to risk as the cost per spot is lower, which in turn means that they require less responses per advert to make money on each spot.
